Combining local knowledge and national strength
Our Company is structured to be responsive on the local level, while drawing on national strength and support for larger projects. This structure allows us to be flexible in our approach, delivering projects on a local or national basis under differing contractual obligations.
We operate on a national basis with offices in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia. Our decentralised management structure allows decisions to be made locally, by experienced managers.
Our Industrial Division allows us to respond to the long term requirements of our clients who are focused on transport infrastructure and telecommunication assets, industrial and commercial assets and facilities management. This brings together expertise in operations and maintenance, facilities management and real estate strategic planning. Leighton Contractors is part of the Leighton Holdings group of companies, Australia’s largest services contractor and project developer. Leighton Holdings employs 25,000 people throughout Australia and Asia.

What makes Leighton Contractors stand out is its people, our engineers, tradespeople and support staff are some of the best in the business. Our team works incredibly hard in an environment where personal responsibility and opportunity are corner stones of our management approach. Backed by well-tested systems and processes, they are the key driver of our success. Currently we are undertaking several landmark projects including; the $2 billion north South Bypass Tunnel and $1.88 billion Gateway Upgrade Projects in Brisbane; WA's $450 million Perth to Bunbury Highway, and; the $300 million Head Quarters Joint Operations Command, with a total work in hand in excess of $5 billion. Our services division continues to grow. In telecommunications, through our subsidiary Visionstream, LSE and the Nextgen Networks; in transport with expanding toll road operations; and facilities management company, Infocus - a joint venture with James Fielding. We are also capitalising upon the current boom in the resources sector. With a $312 million contract at Poitrel for BHP Mitsui Coal; a $508 million cotract with BHP Billiton in Newman, WA, and; $372 million work if contact with Solid Energy at Rotowaro in New Zealand. Throughout our history, the keys to our continued success have always been our ability to re-invent ourselves, to keep innovating and delivering ground-breaking projects. These are traditions we will continue to uphold to ensure that Leighton Contractors remains a market leader well into the future.
