The Company (Ltd) GeoTec GmbH is a small company, founded in the year 1986 as a spin-off of the University of Hanover (in northern Germany) and is specialised in the development of software for use in applied geodetics.
PANDA - Software solution for GPS-based geodetical networks for tunnelling projects

The most important product is the Program System PANDA for the adjustment and analysis of height (1D), positional (2D) and spacial (3D) geodetical nets. With approximately 120 installations, it is one of the leading products of it's kind.

The complex PANDA network adjustment software has been used at various major tunnel projects, also for the works at the Eurotunnel.

The latest academic and technological developments have been realised in PANDA, such as -amongst other things- the rigorous common adjustment of terrestrial and GPS data in a datum-free concept, robust methods for finding gross errors, close-proximity fitting and an ODBC-interface to modern databases.

A modern, object oriented graphical user interface, as well as service tools for the preparation of data, transformation and graphical output provide an extremely versatile but relatively easy-to-use system.

The completely autonomous development ensures that an extension of the system with further modules, as well as the possibility to accomodate special applications, is quite easy to realise!

Apart from the german version, there is also a preliminary english version available, which has been installed in 8 locations outside of Germany.
