After years of innovations in technology, our TBM disc cutters today are widely used to bore through a wide range of formations, from soft ground to hard rock, from mixed ground to abrasive formation.
Serving as the key excavating component, the cutter rings are required to be highly wear resistant and tough enough. To bore through different ground with maximum efficiency, there are various kinds of cutter rings to choose from. If the ground is very abrasive but not hard, TCI cutter rings should be considered. If the rock is very hard, heavy duty cutter rings should be utilized.
High quality Timken tapered roller bearings are utilized in our complete cutters, which helps improve the cutter load capacity and lifetime.
The metal seal is employed and greatly improves the sealing ability even under high pressure, not allowing leak of lubricant and ingress of foreign materials. As a result, the bearing has longer lifetime. Under high water pressure, the pressure compensation device would be considered to assemble.
Excavating in soft and mixed ground, the cutters are exposed in abrasive muck, while boring in hard rock, the cutters might be crashed. So the hubs are appropriately heat-treated in order to improve wear resistance and prevent them from deformation.
Cutter pre-torque value is adjusted to proper level by preloading bearings correctly in complex ground conditions especially in soft ground, so the cutters rotate freely and are prevented from being blocked.
We manufacture 17 inch and 19 inch TBM disc cutters. Our 17'' cutters have been proven stable in quality and reliable in capability over years of application in amount of projects. With the development of cutter technology, our 19'' cutters now have been mature. |
