This machine played a critical role in the completion of the central artery project in Boston. It’s main use was a work platform for crews installing and securing ceiling panels. Manufactured by Arva Industries 43 Gaylord Road, St. Thomas Ontario CA 1-519-637-1855. Original manuals are available. 2001 year model, 65 Hp diesel Cummins B3.3 engine, designed to meet ANSI standards 92.6 for Self Propelled Elevating Work, Platforms, cable remote console with 21’ cord, 10 person max at any one time, 4 wheel synchronized or crab hydraulic power steering, foam filled tires, tower has 360 degree continuous rotation powered by hydraulic motor and planetary drive, platform capacity 20,000 lbs. platform height: 10’ lowered 23’ raised, platform width: w/o extensions 10’, w/ extensions 16’8”, platform length: 24’, max work platform: 40’ x 17’ with hinged side extensions raised and pinned, total weight of machine 42,800 lbs, travel speed: w/o load 6mph w/load 3mph, removable hand rails around platform, hydraulically driven retractable stairs for easy loading and unloading of personnel and equipment, deck can not be lowered while stairs are down for safety. Has a number of different uses such as: work platform, man work platform, display stage, auction stage, bridge inspections, material transporter. |
