Senior Tunnel Design Engineer

Location: London
Duration: Permanent
International Consultancy currently require a Senior Tunnel engineer to work on a major London Project. Reporting to the Technical Director you will be carrying out structural design of the underground station structures. Internally, you will be liaising with other disciplines (MEP and architects) and externally you will be liaising with the client's team and the project architects. Additional duties of the role will include assisting engineers and support management team.
The successful candidate will have a university degree in civil engineering or equivalent. You will be a chartered member of ICE or IstructE or equivalent. It is essential that you have, expertise in structural design of underground station structures, experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment, experience of managing small design teams.
An ideal candidate will have expertise in station design using a variety of ground support techniques.
To excel in this role you must be team leader capable of guiding and mentoring junior engineers.
