Our client is a leading civil engineering contractor working throughout the UK undertaking all kinds of infrastructure projects. They have been appointed main contractor for a 6.8km long highway scheme, including the construction twin excavated tunnels. Due to this project they are now seeking a number of engineers at various levels tunnelling/Underground construction experience.
Experience
They are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic and committed Engineers to work as part of a team for the construction of the tunnels and shafts for this project. The candidates must have experience of excavated tunnels in sandstone conditions to be lined with sprayed concrete.
The main responsibilities would include the management of all technical aspects associated with the tunnel construction on a shift basis, supervision of the shift engineers, preparation short term programmes for a section of works, ensure materials and resources are available to achieve this. The role would require some shift working.
Salary: Competitive salary package, plus benefits.
