Senior Hardrock Tunnel Design Engineers

From its well-established engineering base, our client has grown into a multi-disciplined, multi-national business offering a unique portfolio of services, ranging from planning and design to facilities management, infrastructure maintenance and management. This has been established from their seven offices currently in China. Due to an increasing workload our client has a need for Senior Tunnelling Engineers to work from the Hong Kong office.
Requirements & Responsibilities
Candidates should have:
• Rock tunnels and caverns experience
• Experience on projects in Hong Kong would also be advantages.
• Good academic background with a civil engineering bachelors or masters degree
• Be a chartered civil or structural engineer with an appropriate level of experience of which a significant proportion should have been gained with an engineering design company undertaking the design of tunnels or related infrastructure
• Proven numeracy skills (chartered mining engineers with a proven aptitude in mathematics and tunnel engineering design consultancy will be considered)
• Good written and verbal communication skills (clear, concise report writing will be expected)
• Familiarity of managing design teams, motivating staff, working on multiple concurrent commissions, and representing the company to clients
• High motivation to succeed, and to progress and develop their chosen careers
• A personality compatible with a high degree of collaborative and team work
• A willingness to travel on short assignments both within China and overseas
Salary
Our client offers a competitive salary package and benefits.
Work Visa
If you are not a resident or permanently entitled to work in Hong Kong. Our client will do all possible to assist in the application for a work visa further to a successful offer of employment. As well as full relocation advise.
