Tunnelling and Underground Structure Design Manager

My client a leading Architectural, Engineering, Planning & Construction Management firm has the need to expand their Tunnelling and Underground Structures Division. Due to continuous expansion of projects to their New York based team.
Looking to recruit a Tunnelling and Underground Structure Design Manager with strong technical and practical experience. You should ideally be a chartered Engineer with a relevant master’s degree. Experience in some of the following areas of practice is essential: –
• Design of tunnels including: Cut and cover, mined soft ground and rock tunnels, and immersed tube tunnels
• Mechanised excavation including tunnel boring machines and roadheaders
• Conventional excavation, drill and blast, and sequential excavation method (NATM)
• Micro tunnelling and directional drilling for utilities and pipelines
• Caverns and underground facilities
• Shafts and deep excavations
• Tunnels initial and final liners and ground support including rock bolts and dowels, pre-cast, cast in place, and shot-create liners
• Condition survey and rehabilitation of tunnels and underground facilities
• Underpinning and support of existing structures and facilities
• Excavation, support of excavation and earth retaining structures
• Construction staging and sequencing, constructability analyses, and construction scheduling
• Deep foundation, caissons, shafts, etc…
The above will be used through construction of projects for transit, rail, highway, water conveyance, pedestrian, utilities, environmental, mining, and facilities projects. Working closely with other Engineering firms & relevant New York Authority’s. The main criteria is you have the combination of technical & practical skills.
