TUNNELLING INSPECTOR/ENGINEER (Night Shift)

Our client is one of the world's leading providers of professional, technologically-based consultancy and support services. Due to continues workload & expansion of the company they have contract position within the UK tunnelling division.
Job Description
They are looking to recruit an experienced Inspector/Engineer to audit tunnelling works (typically sprayed concrete linings, SGI linings, compensation grouting) currently under construction at a central London train station. This will involve night shift work and reporting back to the team on various issues of concern. Some assistance with document reviewing may also be required, in relation to progress of the works and commencement of works after approvals.
Requirements
Candidates should have:
• An appropriate amount of relevant tunnelling site experience
• Good report writing skills
• The ability to self check and produce accurate work
• The capability of handling meetings in difficult situations using skill and tact to achieve positive results.
Although a strong academic background with a relevant degree and ideally an MSc in Tunnelling or Substructure Engineering may be an advantage to applicants, it is not essential for this post.
Additional Information
The post is on a temporary basis at this stage. The night shift is 8 hours work, Monday to Friday (typically between 2100 hrs and 0530 hrs).
Some on-call duties are also likely between 1900 and 0700hrs.
