Description |
Geosynthetics are commonly used for drainage, sealing as well as protection when waterproofing tunnels and earthen structures. In tunneling, geosynthetics are used to seal areas subjected to high hydraulic pressures as well as areas of seepage. The NAUE solution is to use a single layer of Carbofol® polyolefin geomembrane, using Secutex® nonwoven geotextiles to protect the geomembrane from the rough shot-crete surface. In tunnel construction where drainage of water is required, geosynthetic drainage systems such as Secudrän® are also used to transport and discharge the fissure water.
By employing complete geosynthetic solutions from NAUE, a dry foundation or tunnel can be created with state-of-the-art materials and technology. Carbofol® geomembranes as well as Bentofix® Geosynthetic Clay Liners are used for hydraulic sealing applications. Secutex® nonwovens are used for filtration, separation and protection. Secudrän® is used for drainage while Secugrid® geogrids are ideal for reinforcement.
